Background: National early warning score have been developed to assist ward nurses by contributing in the early detection of clinical deterioration. It was thought that nursing education on national early warning score would improve their practice to ensure patient safety and lessen their knowledge gap regarding how it was implemented. Aim: To evaluate effect of Implementing Educational Program on Nurses performance about National Early Warning score in Emergency Department. Design and Methods: A quasi experimental study design: Sitting: was performed in Emergency department, main Hospital, Assiut University Hospitals. Tools: To collect data that is pertinent to the study, two tools were used: Tool I: Nurses knowledge assessment and Tool II: Nurses practice assessment: Results: Regarding total nurses knowledge level of national early warning score post educational program was satisfactory (93.3%) and (27.5%) of nurses had a satisfactory level pre educational program. While total nurses practice level of national early warning score post educational program was satisfactory were (97.7%). and there is a statically significance difference between total nurses knowledge and practice pre and posttest 0.000. Conclusions: The current study indicated that most of the studied nurses had satisfactory knowledge and practice regarding the National Early Warning Score post implementing the educational program. Recommendation: Regularly monitoring nurses' knowledge & practices. Providing periodic training for new nurses on the National Early Warning Score
